Jeffrey L. Heckman, 55 of Fredericktown, PA (Deemston Boro) died Tuesday December 9, 2008 in The Washington Hospital after a brief illness.
He was born September 27, 1953 in New Eagle, PA a son of James E. and Darlene F. Harida Heckman, Sr. of Bentleyville, who survive.
Mr. Heckman was a 1971 graduate of Bentworth High School.
For 30 years, he was employed as a coal miner with the Eighty Four Mine of Consol Energy.
He was a member of the United Mine Workers of America and the St. Agnes Roman Catholic Church, Richeyville.
Mr. Heckman enjoyed being outdoors. Hunting, fishing and his Beagles were his favorite past times. He also enjoyed carpentry.
On August 2, 1997 he married Ellen Weppelman, who survives.
Surviving in addition to his wife and parents is a daughter – Jamie Price of Washington, PA; Two grandchildren – Brandon and Paige Price; Two Brothers – James Heckman, Jr. (Sylvia) of Bentleyville, PA and Dennis Heckman (Seranot) of TX; Two Sisters – Sharon Serenari (Larry) and Kay Cole (Joe), both of Bentleyville; Several nieces and nephews.

Friends will be received from 2 to 4 and 7 to 9pm, Thursday and Friday in the John B. Greenlee Funeral Home, 2830 Main St. Beallsville, PA where Prayers will be said Saturday December 13, 2008 at 9:15am followed by a Mass of Christian Burial at 10:00am in the St. Agnes R.C.Church, Richeyville with Rev.
